Spring officially has come! The weather is nice, no more snows! and that's, for me, a bliss!
So basically I haven't really update anything here (beside the new banner), all because I've been so busy working on the collection that would be presented next month! April 10th! I'm a nervous wreck! - I still have like 4 garments to be finished, let alone some garments that need alterations. Excited but nervous. I'll keep it posted regularly. But I'm really happy that I have such a wonderful class mates that I couldn't wish for more, and great models too! I love it.
Though I'm done with the last class, I'm still need to work on some garments for the rest of the week. I literally have to cancel any personal leisure (except internet and sleep), cuz the garments are taking my time like bitches.
Oh, as for spring break, I'm heading to Orlando for couple days. Universal Studios baby! teehee. It's been my dream to go there and I'm super excited! Can't wait to share with u guys. Happy Spring Break!

Holiday Report
It's good to be back to Bean town! 10 days stay in Atlanta were flew too fast. I'm so happy that I could spent holidays with my family in Atlanta, and meeting aunt Linda & my favorite cousin, Russ (he's big now!). The one thing I hate about it was the cold weather.. I expect it'd be a little warmer than Boston, and boy am I wrong. Darren (Linda's hubby) took us to a great BBQ place which I love so much! I'm addicted to BBQ period. Oh! I also paid a visit to Coke world. I didn't know Atlanta is the home of the world famous beverage, until last year (i mean, '08).
Anyway, nothing much happens since I got back to Boston. I've been lazying up my ass and eat. Ha, I know I sounds miserable, but I just let myself go, too much I think. I just want to relax myself before the hectic life resumes in 2 weeks.
Today I made grilled chicken bumbu sate for late lunch. It was pretty good actually.. Marinated chicken with peanut sauce and I put fried onion, crushed and add kecap manis (sweet soy sauce). Also, i made fried Oreo! the ultimate worst junk food ever. Basically I dipped a frozen Oreo cookie into pancake batter and then fried. I only managed to eat 2 and then I started to feel nauseous.

So there it is.. for those who still in holidays, enjoy! and rest of you who already go back to activity, have a great day!

Manhattan Weekends
Last Thanksgiving weekends were pretty great, we went to NYC to bought fabrics for my third design (I got 30 yards of fabrics, insanity). I actually went with a friend & my bro on this trip and it was pretty nice. Well, we good this good, small hotel on 23rd St and it has the nicest bed i've ever sleep on in years. Anyway, I met up with my friend, Rani in the hotel. I wished I could have more time but there's always next time! it was good to see her after quite a while.
Well, basically it's typical NY to do list: checked out the Fifth Ave, SoHo and stuffs. Oh! I got a nice winter coat from Topman, I've been thinking about getting a trench coat and I got what I like there. I also checked out SoHo's Dean & Deluca market; I literally wanna get everything from that stores! the cakes, the sea foods, every single thing there looks like a luxury items. (Thank God, I brought a luggage with me).
The first night on the town, my friend Jade brought us to this small yakitori shop. It's superb. I was hungry all day and the foods are so tasty, I wanna stuff my face with those foods. I ordered pork chasu with avocado, and some yakitori set and those are heaven on small, wooden japanese bowls. We actually wanted to get some desserts on Serendipity 3 later that night, but it was 2 hr waiting list and we decided to checked out Dylan's Candy Bar. The verdicts: Dylan's service was bad (we waited 20 mins for 2 frozen hot chocolate) and the desserts are FAILs.

And on Sunday, me and bro went to Bali Nusa Indah (Indo restaurant) for lunch and checked out SoHo. Here's the thing, somehow my great genius mind decided not to book the return ticket to Boston and the result is predictable: all the bus tickets to Boston were sold, even the train tickets. I literally could faint any time, but luckily we gambled to get on to the bus on Chinatown. We got on at 6.30 pm and we arrived in Boston at midnight. It was exhausting but relieving at the same time. I'm looking forward to go back to NYC soon!

From Jersey To City
Last Saturday I visited a friend, Rani, who I haven't seen her since last Spring break. She's kinda my best bud right here in States, just 'cause she's my classmate back in the day. Anyway, we made 5 videos! and it was a very fun couple days. Over there, I unleashed my biggest appetite yet; went to Qdoba, Jamba Juice etc. and I felt sorta horrible. Regardless, my visits there was very nice! I stayed at her new apartment and it was very nice of her to let me (once again) stayed over her house. To be honest, I like going to NJ once in a while, but I just hate the long trip - 5 hours bus trip, continued with 45 minutes of NJ transit. It's exhausting.
And then.. after 3 days in NJ, I visited NYC briefly (before going back to Boston), and decided to go to SoHo. After a little-confusing trip, I arrived at the Canal St. station and sorta lost. Then I found Prince St. and the next thing I know, I got excited; I saw a lot of stores, and I saw some of the familiar SoHo stores. I was already in SoHo area, I just didn't realize it. So I looked for a MUJI store (my bro asked me to buy a knitted cap there) and I'm so excited to check the area out (I wanted to check out Topman NYC). SoHo is like, a meltin' pot of individuals; there's girls with Cali styles, the indie guys, the uber metrosexuals (men), the rich-high socialite women, and some of the artists kinda people. So it's exciting. I saw alot of models too, walking around SoHo with their portfolios in their arms - I just realized then that Fashion Week is gonna be held in less than 2 weeks.
Now I realize how much I attracted to NY life, at first I was thinking that West coast life will fits me more, but now I'm really attracted with the NYC's exciting, colorful energy - and hopefully, NYFIT Fall 2010!

In The Land of Merlion
For the last couple of days, I spent the day and nights in Singapore, my ultimate favorite holiday destination. Why Singapore? you may ask. Well, Singapore was the second overseas country I've visited in my life (after Sydney, Aussie). Besides, Singapore has a lot to offer: great foods, great shops and.. that's pretty much it. However, that's all I need.
I went there with my bestie Ingrid (who's a Singapore resident at heart) along with her bf. We went to see Sentosa which was excite me the most, cause there's a rollercoaster under construction and I knew it's the upcoming UNIVERSAL Studio! aha! Since we stayed on different hotels, we got different plans too; I spent most of the time shopping and cruising around Orchard (which btw, has a new mall ION which was fantastic). I managed to picked up some goodies along the way (my fave, silver Puma by Yasuhiro Mihara). I also gained some serious pounds, which to me kinda questionable. Because, I've walked thousands of miles, I climbed my way to the hotel every freaking day and I ate less food! So I don't give a damn no more on that.
So overall it was fun, wild and bittersweet. Can't wait for another trip!

First Week In Jakarta
It feels real good; home-cooked meals, the smell of my old room and of course the family and friends. My dogs also the best things ever in this house. The first week of my trip back home was beautiful. Well, it's not even a week yet though, but feels like forever now. I deffo consider this (although hasn't not even started yet) holiday my highlight of the year.

Spring Broke
The holiday of the season is officially started and yet, I feel bored. I don't know what to do, everybody seems has something going on. I really wanna go places, but money's tight. So, NJ is the place to go!
I wanna see my friend/old school's mate/video partner, Rani. But since fall, we got things going on: family's coming, new courses and stuff. For me it's annoying to see people growing up. Call me nuts, but I love to stay young. I don't wanna deal with stress in society or what not. I'm bitter.
Anyway, I don't wanna talk about that - let's back to Spring Break. Actually I don't feel like this is a holiday, cause I know I still have plenty to do: the projects, warning grades (yes, 2 warning grades), and shits. I'm stressing out. I just wanna curl up in my bed, and sleep the days away. Also, want to resume my gym routines. I know I should call it off, but I wanna keep the membership til I get back to Indo.
Speaking of Indo, I only have 2 months away! Alright! So excited. I wanna see my mom, dogs and friends. Hopefully she's already in Indo.. not somewhere else, like Shanghai or whatever.
Ok then, Happy Spring Breaking! D

Oh, Nine!
Oh Nine! - '09. Get it?
it's new year everybody!! and I had a great holiday!
I went to LA, SF and San Diego for Holidays.. I loved every minute of it. I wished I could spend more times tho. My highlights of the vacation were Disneyland, Sea World San Diego and Masu (we'll get in there later). First off, I loveeee Disneyland my whole life. Since I was a kid, I knew Disneyland is the ultimate dream park a kid could wish for - AND I happened to visit 3 time (2 times California's and once in Paris, France). Back to Disneyland, I rode Tower of Terror, California Screamin' and more.. but those 2 are the most memorable. (check em out in youtube).
Then.. San Diego. Another life-long dream. I watched a killer whale, Shamu! When I was 7, I really love Free Willy and can't get enough of it. I even got jelous with the kid in the movie. And after 13 years.. I saw em in real life! Love it. Made my day. I ate a lottt of snacks there.. which brings us to Masu. Masu, is officially my favorite Japanese restaurant in the whole world. Cuz, it's a buffet - sushi buffet, tastes good! and only 11.95 ea. Me and family, once, happened to eat 90 rolls!!! (it's 90!) I can't get enough of it. I will come back sometimes!
So.. there u have it. My first post of 2009! and! it's 100th post!!! yea
have a pleasant year! D

Whiteout
It's snowing!
I've been kinda anticipating this to happen.. although i'm not really like the concept of snow. It's hard, it's too white and it's cold. I hate cold. I'm Indonesian.. of course we're hot people (although the real meaning of that sentence is not what you think it is).
The snow also marks the start of the holiday season! Oh, after the endless assignments and exams and the final exam (which i doubt i did good).. it's about time!
I do want to go home for Christmas, but the situation ain't really pretty at this time. As much I miss home, fams, friends and of course pups, I don't wanna spend too much money on something that I can prevent. I'm a person who better spend money on much better time with even better reason (e.g. summer 2009 holiday, after spending 1,5 years here). But it depends on my dad. I hate the concept that I have to stay 4 years here, just to match 4 years college requirements. At times, I wish I wasn't here. But.. sigh. don't care about it. Let see..
So.. it's weekend.. and I wanna have fun. see ya tomorrow! :D

O, Recession
This year's recession was the true reason why 2008 isn't the shiniest year. It's hard for me to shop! LOL. I know it's a selfish thing but, it's kinda my natural calling - just can't help it. Yesterday, I just bought 5 magazines! (yes, some of em are for my Fashion Illustration class) and a perfume the other day.
It's really sad, cuz now it affects my hometown's economy, 1 USD = 12000. That one's hurt. It really affects the budget, all the basic needs. For me, it screams "CRAP". I just hate it. Whoever made this happen, is not rest in peace. OK, that was a bit harsh.
Anyway, today, I'm heading to New York, to shop for Black Friday. I don't feel like shopping to be perfectly honest, but! the sales kinda inviting. So let's hoping for the best sales from the best brands. Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Shopping

A City That Never Sleeps
Hi folks. long time no see. and no update.
Last weekends I went off to New York with mom and my sibs. I love New York (for the first time!). I've been there more than 3 times, but last trip was the first time I felt excited about NY.
We went to NY by bus (Megabus!) and we stayed at the Double Tree hotel in Times Square (I highly recommend this hotel!). The first day, we booked 4 tickets to see Legally Blonde: The Musical. As cheesy as it sounds, I kinda excited to see a broadway play (a broadway play!).. and the best part is the theatre is just next door from my hotel (literally). After the play, we dined at a japanese rest. It was sooo nice and we had the best time that nite.
The next day, we went the famous NY sightseeing (for the tourists, although I hate the fact that I was a tourist!). So.. we went to Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Liberty to name a few. It took half a day! crayzay.. and later that night we met Rani si gokil (Looove the tattoo!).

I really love new york now.. but with conditions!
LOL.

What'll Ya Have?
That's a famous catch-phrase from the old burger chain called The Varsity in here, Atlanta, Georgia.
Days after my mom arrival, me and my fam (including my sibs) headed to Atlanta to visit my aunt and her husband. My grandma is here too! and my cousin Russell. I was having the best time right here. We were catching up a whole lot (I haven't seen em all for 7 months.. So.. I was overwhelmed). My uncle, Darren took us to some nice places (Korean restaurant, the Varsity burgers and chilli hot dogs). I was thrilled!
We went to the Georgia Aquarium (which photos are deleted cuz I was f--kin clumsy). The aquarium was huge!! and I love the belugas! We also went to the Six Flags Over Georgia. It was A BLAST. Me and my brother rode those crazy roller coasters: Superman flying coaster, the standing coaster (called Georgia Scorcher) which is my ultimate favorite coaster ever!! and more.
I also tried the authentic Southern comfort foods (ribs, cornbread, etc.) and i've been waiting for that moment to come.. So I was beyond happy! :D And Mom also cooked us Hainam Chicken rice, Babi panggang merah.. tempe orek! Delish! (again! i haven't eat em for 7 months). I was in heaven!
I really wanna go back to Atl someday. Beside my aunt and my cousin are there, I'd like to visit the Six Flags.. and try the Southern Foods again!
See y'all.

The Day
Today marks the last day I'm being the loneliest guy in Boston. 'Cuz my mom and sibs are coming!! Yea!
I'm gonna pick em all at the airport this afternoon.. Soo excited.
O well.
I've been living all bymyself for 7 months now.. so I'll miss my loner times. But kinda excited cuz I'll have company. You never know what would have become if there's two heads. Things happen.
I also want to thank Rani for having me staying in New Jersey throughout this summer vacay (May, June, July.. and even August). So thank you thank you thank you.
The day has come!

Stranded In Seattle
My week plus-long holiday in Seattle was a blast. I've experience things that I never done before. It's fun!
My purpose to come visit Seattle is my friend, Nathalia. So excited when I first arrived at the airport. So surreal. Me and Nath went crazy! haha.. we took silly pictures.. crazy jokes and stuff. FUN! By the way...
Seattle is pretty. A nice neat pretty city. Friendly people too. As far as I know, Seattle has quite nice neighborhood. Comparing to my place in Boston, Seattle is like a luxury good (Well, Nath and her friends made that impression to me tho). It's good to see Nath there and meet some of here friends, who are funny and friendly too. They took me to great places to eat (Saburo's in Portland, OR, + some other great Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese restaurants). I pig myself out. O yea, I also experienced drunk for the first time in my life. I drink occasionally at home.. but I can't stand the straight shots (It was disgusting). But overall, Seattle was a very fun experience.. I'm glad I booked a ticket to SEATTLE. I really will come back there.
The word Stranded on the title came literal on June 20 at 11.20PM. I Missed a flight! And I was secured a seat for the next flight at 9.00 AM via New York and arrival in Boston at 8.33 PM. I stayed awake for 9 hrs straight. It was a hell.. but I took it as part of my interesting journey. It's definitely an experience. It's been a pleasure.

Back To Reality

Yes.. Here i am. After a week of spring break in New York, I feel brand new: Lazier.
I don't wanna go to school! argh! I'm already used to the life on a break! just kidding. I have to go to school :(
The Break started with Rani came to Boston. We spent great times here, really. The cheesecake, chips.. it was a blast! (i know u will be vomiting by the time u read this Ran). After 2 days in Boston, we headed to NYC!
I was in New York for Spring Break and spent the night at Rani's place in New Jersey haha.. We spent days wandering around New York. We went to NY by bus (which was annoying), but it was ok, until i witnessed the TIME SQUARE. It was out of body experience. I felt sooo happy, even though i was so tired (i brought a long my 10 kgs of bag, i believe) and upset (the consulate of Indo was closed!). Basically, It was a fun experience tho which I will treasure my whole life. There's only me and Rani, 2 Indonesian who didn't know anything about NY at all, but finally we managed to handle it (thanks to Rani).
I visited Central Park, Ground Zero (WTC), Rockefeller Cente, etc. I also took picture with the famous Naked Cowboy (he wasn't literally naked tho) and we both addicted to Jamba Juice. Oh ya! the popcorn (Dale & Thomas' gourmet popcorn) was soooo good. Thank God there's one here in Boston (Quincy Market).
I was having the great time ever there! but again, i must admit that, New York ain't really my kinda place. I like it here in Boston. Perhaps, I'm gonna change my mind about continuing school in New York. Perhaps LA. or Boston. Whatever.
Have a great one, people!

Happy Xmas
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. Sorry for this late post. But it's never too late to spread the greetings, ain't it?
Ok.. Christmas was 3 days ago but I wanna share some stories. I promised myself to brings the Christmas spirit back from hibernation (my last Christmas present was almost 10 years ago). So, I decided to pull off Santa. On Xmas eve, I shopped for the whole family (yea, my dad, mom, aunt, granma, bro, sis and a cousin) just under 2 hours. Then, I wrapped it all up by myself at late night for 3 hours (and also watched Janice Dickinson's Christmas special). The Big moment came up at the morning. It was such a blast. I felt happy.. and hopefully what I did for them appreciated.
I also kinda nervous right now cuz in just less than 3 weeks, I'm gonna be on the other side of the world (a.k.a. States). I have several stages or nervousness. First is visa. I have to go for it this Monday which make my stomach turns upside down. I'm stressing myself out (hopefully I don't messed things up). Second is the stuffs that I should bring. That problem kinda makes me nervous because I'm afraid I forgot to bring important things which will be awful If I did. The last one is America itself. It makes me nervous. Seriously, I have no idea what Boston will gonna be like. I've been to America but I never been to East Coast, yet. Well, hopefully I can through with this, like I did 4 times before.
Anyways, It's still holiday.. and please be happy and again, Happy holidays for all of ya.. Next is New Year! the party will be held in my house! stay tuned for photos! (I'm planning to make sushi :P)
Au Revoir, 4 now
