Happy Hours

These last couple of days are felt like weekends to me, I had fun - loads of em, and I enjoyed it with some of my closest friends. We sing, we laugh and we eat! and when it comes to the latter, it's all about the Friday's!

TGI Friday's that is. Yes, I love them food especially the Jack D's steak or babyback ribs. Me likey and apparently TGI has become me and some of my friends favorite place to dine and hang out (Rubby and Sianny, btw). Ok, this might sounds super cheesy, but I love hanging out with em over there, it's very laid back and jokes seem never run out from our thoughtless minds.. just kidding.
It was Friday night and I haven't sleep for 25 hrs - but somehow I feel really good!

So anyway, on last Thursday, Aug 13, we went out at 2ish PM and we went straight to TGI via highway. It was quite fun - and photographical (I mean Sianny is the photog of the day, so). We took a lot of photos that day (sadly, I forgot to took my camera when we were singin' crazy at karaoke). Some of em are okay, some of em are asian stars-ish (gah), but mostly memorable! :D. Later that night, we hit the karaoke to seal the day. We went mad inside the booth, singing madly, cover songs from "Faint", "Me & Mrs. Jones", some of MJ's hits to the bottom class track (brace yourself), "Kucing Garong." Granted, we had hell of a fun night.

So, after two days of downtime, today my bestie from high school, Aidee came visit! we walked my dogs and later that night we went out for dinner, getting our sushi fix at Tei. It was again, fun and sorta laid back and we ended the night with kwotie and Sour Sally treats.

Moral of the story: If there's food, friends and good times, I'm always in!

Movies Night

This Veterans Day, I just spent a whole day lazy-ing around and eat. I ate a Korean noodle, banana nut cake, doughnut, fried rice, mee-rob and veggies. I was mad greedy.

Anyway, it's Veteran's Day so I just act the part :p. O yeah, I watched Hellboy 2 & Narnia: Prince of Caspian. These two movies really makes me wonder: where's the magic? Although the CGI effects are kick-ass, I don't see any excitement in the storyline. Despite all of that, I enjoyed watching them and I need that, 'cause last Monday was crappy day. I need to relax.

My class will start in 8 hrs! (Yes, it's 1 AM here) and I need my sleep. Bye! :D

Satisfaction

Yesterday was great!

I ate japanese food (which I crave for the last couple of days), watched a movie ('Role Models', which is funny as hell!) and basically spent the day off fully packed.

I also bought a lot of foods for my house. I bought Banana Nut Cake (moist and tasty), Pastas and more. Plus! I found a blog that could provide my entertainment needs! from albums (yes! Beyonce's newest record and Xtina's!) and TV Shows (Top Model, Ghost Whisperer). I'm satisfied this weekend! I just can't wait for another weekend - D

Porn 4 Fat Kids

Last night's party was great. Great foods, great people, great fun.. Loves it. There's couple HK friends who's coming to my friends' pad to celebrate the move-in party. Too bad there's no booze around.

But anyway, we played this card game called Circle of Death. It's complicated tho, but it's like, if u take one card, the number on it says the measure on the glass of a drink u should drink. Ok.. i'm messed up. But hopefully u get the point. So basically we have to drinks anything from Coke, Fanta, Milk, Juice, sugar and yes.. salt. You can combine or even just plain drink one ingredients (like salt and water). Terrible. But for me, the rest of em are too sweet haha.

So today... I just bought my favorite candies! ('cuz out of the blue, i just feelin' the Halloween mood). I bought Hersheys kisses - candy corn flavored- and M&M's premium Triple chocolate. It's totally heaven! ha! For me, eating candy is guilty as charged. But can't help it. LOL

What'll Ya Have?

That's a famous catch-phrase from the old burger chain called The Varsity in here, Atlanta, Georgia.

Days after my mom arrival, me and my fam (including my sibs) headed to Atlanta to visit my aunt and her husband. My grandma is here too! and my cousin Russell. I was having the best time right here. We were catching up a whole lot (I haven't seen em all for 7 months.. So.. I was overwhelmed). My uncle, Darren took us to some nice places (Korean restaurant, the Varsity burgers and chilli hot dogs). I was thrilled!

We went to the Georgia Aquarium (which photos are deleted cuz I was f--kin clumsy). The aquarium was huge!! and I love the belugas! We also went to the Six Flags Over Georgia. It was A BLAST. Me and my brother rode those crazy roller coasters: Superman flying coaster, the standing coaster (called Georgia Scorcher) which is my ultimate favorite coaster ever!! and more.

I also tried the authentic Southern comfort foods (ribs, cornbread, etc.) and i've been waiting for that moment to come.. So I was beyond happy! :D And Mom also cooked us Hainam Chicken rice, Babi panggang merah.. tempe orek! Delish! (again! i haven't eat em for 7 months). I was in heaven!

I really wanna go back to Atl someday. Beside my aunt and my cousin are there, I'd like to visit the Six Flags.. and try the Southern Foods again!

See y'all.

What's Cookin'?

So glad that David Cook won the Idol crown. He deserves it. Although David Archuleta has charming voice and look (plus charming personality), he still green to be an idol. Actually I put them records into my own test. While I was on my way to New York, I listened to both Davids' Mariah Carey week songs. I listened to Cook's "Always Be My Baby". His rendition is the best ever. I've never been a big fan of idol until this song came out. He took Mariah's classic song into a whole new level. I'm so impressed with his deep raspy voice (a la Daughtry). Overall he gave it a really cool twist on the song. Then, I listened to Archuleta's rendition of "When You Believe". He gave me chills the entire time of the song. His voice is pure, classic and innocent. But comparing these two, is kinda hard. Because each Davis has his own uniqueness. Anyway, these Davids are my favorite of the season.

Ok then, enough on the idol, let's get back to life. Food life that is. Yesterday I went to Qdoba, a Mexican restaurant. As I mentioned before, I'm having an affair with buritto. I just can't help it. Anyway, the buritto there was superb. The restaurant is similar to Chipotle, but unlike Chipotle, Qdoba offers more traditional atmosphere. Then, we went to a little gourmet shop near downtown. We both picked a slice of cake; Rani picked prada chocolate cake and I, golden canolli cake. Despite the fancy names, it doesn't taste as fancy as it sounds. The cake looks good though. But before we headed home, Rani picked a pint of Ciao Bella green tea gelato with white chocolate chunks. It tastes delish! Yesterday we had great foods overall and those restaurants are in New Jersey! (I haven't get a chance to go back to NY)

That's my culinary journey so far. Be sure to check it out next time.
Au revoir

Cravings

I really put a serious thoughts of what I would eat lately. No, not the healthy diet foods or whatever (which is sooo sad in a way), but it's about my cravings. Since last month, I became a fan of Mexican food (esp. Buritto). I totally still craving the food. I also crazy about Pad Thai (here in New Jersey), served with turnip cake. So Good. The foods are so fabulous, I decided to spend the last three days in New Jersey with Rani. I supposedly visiting New York, but I wanna explore the foods here. I also tried candy corn for the first time, Carvel ice cream shake and more. The foods makes me stay.

I wanna share some review my favorite tunes for the last couple of days.

I highly recommend you to listen to Jason Mraz's last record, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. It's so good; the music is combination of big band, acoustic and soul. One of the songs, It sounds like orchestra met casual acoustic. I don't know the right term but it sounds beautiful. Download: "Make It Mine", "A Beautiful Mess", "I'm Yours" & "Lucky"

I also listened to several albums, like Mariah's E=MC2, Madonna's Hard Candy and Usher's Here I Stand.
Those albums really stand out for me in 2008. Be sure check 'em out.

See ya on the next entry.
Bye guys.. D

Foods Of Big Apple

Yesterday we (me & Rani) went to NYC to spend the day. We went for a culinary trip yesterday. It was so fulfilling literally.

The first thing after we touched down (from the bumpy NJ Transit trip), we headed to Thai restaurant food. We ordered pad thai (shrimp for me, veggie for her). The name of the restaurant is Bangkok House. The place is kind of small eatery and it was cozy. I loved it. Then, after that we went on to 58th St. 9th Ave to found this miles long of festival. I think it was a big food bazaar. I ended up bought a monstrous turkey leg, fried OREOs (yep, that OREO cookies) and candy grapes (instead of candy apple). I couldn't help it but wanted more although I was terribly full. Then we went to Century 21 for an impromptu shopping sprees (ha, i only bought a shirt and rani bought a cool fedora). To end the night, we went to Lime Jungle restaurant for burittos. I officially the big fan of buritto.

Ok.. so that's my culinary trip for a day. I'll keep u posted! aite?? Byeee

Guilty Pleasure

Last Saturday, I went to Six Flags New England. So awesome! It cost $15 (bought it from school) and it was 2-hour ride from Boston. It was sooo cool, I rode the fiercest roller coasters ever! There was The Superman Ride (f*%$ing crazy), Batman (my favorite so far!), Mind Eraser (hanging coaster) and some crappy rides. But overall, it was out of body experience almost literally, cause in some rides, I felt like I almost out of the cart. Ha

By the way, I really enjoy Madonna's half new record from Hard Candy. She released "4 Minutes" which was so 2008 (means I loves it) and I also enjoy "Miles Away". The rest of the album pretty much the same to me. O yeah, It's kinda leak songs so I downloaded it. It's my guilty pleasure.

I have a lot guilty pleasures.. such as, buying groceries, reality shows.. eating too much.. networking sites (facebook, friendster), gossip blogs and clothes. Yes. pretty much everything i like is guilty pleasure-ing. Whatever.

Gosh, I wanna visit Indonesia.. really, it's like crazy now.. I miss my dogs so much.. t.t

Btw, STARBUCKS changed their logo!

Joking (hopefully)

See ya guys in bit

What I Like

Yea! it's weekend. Today is actually Saturday morning. 2:47 in the morning. I know.. I slept around 7 p.m. and woke up at 1 a.m. so here I am.

I got idea for my new post, about what I like recently (just popped out of my brain). Here's my favorite things for today:

Music: I really like Madonna's new single "4 Minutes to Save The World" feat. Justin & Timbaland. Freakin' awesome. The beat is sick! and I like my new headset! Sony noise-cancelling headset which is now my bestfriend at night (the friggin' noisy drunk people outside really buggin me every 2/3 am).

Fashion: Balenciaga all the way (in term of design tho). Nicolas Ghesquiére is really a genius! totally haute couture! haha and my favorite line is FCUK for now. They offer really great taste in men clothing. I just really diggin' it.

Food: Au Bon Pain. Yea, after eating Chinese food for a while.. I'm craving for Western ones which is a benefit for me now. Get it? hehe

Animals: Jokker Rockey! my pets. Miss them so much as you can see in my profiles from Myspace to Friendster to Yahoo.

Well.. that's all. Not so much things tho as I thought I would have. Anyway, today's plan is I'm gonna clean up my room and gonna buy new camera. After 2 months not taking pictures (with proper tool) perhaps today it's my chance! :D

See ya guys
D

Btw, I got 100 in Math Test! which is awesome for me (this is my first full score for Math ever in my life)

Three Days Weekend

I'm so Glad I got 3 day off (Sat - Mon). I felt refreshed and happy, of course. For the last 3 day weekend, I travelled around the city a lot (and so far it's farthest I ever went since I came here) and ate a lot and shop a lot.

16 Feb

I went to BORDERS to bought 3 new magazines, People, Entertainment Weekly and BAZAAR. I found it so funny because I'm always a fan of magazines and now I have to purchase them regularly for my assignment (as for Fund. Apparel Design) which needs a lot mounts of sample photos from mags.

That day, I decided to went on different route: Boylston, instead of Newbury St. I found this Prudential Centre Shopping Arcade. The place is so nice.

Then I went to Cheesecake Factory to lunch for one (so sad). I ordered bite size burgers for appetizer and a Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta (which is so superb). But what makes me wonder is the appetizer. It says bite size burgers but apparently it's like a junior whopper! and there's 4 of em in a plate! nutso. Since I'm starving like crazy I ended up eating all of em; the appetizer, main course. I ate so much that I couldn't even hungry at night.

I also went to Urban Outfitters and found nothing interesting at all and went to Best Buy to buy mouse pad and power supply for ipod. Then, I slept at 9 PM, because I was so friggin' tired already.

17 Feb

I woke up at 9 AM and it's still holiday! I just being lazy throughout the morning; I chat, opened emails etc. I decided to went to Prudential centre again to grab lunch (I went to Panda Express) and went off to Best Buy again (I bought 2 DVDs Transformers and No Reservation. I know, I can't get enough of Transformers). Then, I decided to go to Cambridge Galleria Mall via green line T. It is located at the end of the green line! which is crazy! I have to go through 7 stops! sigh..

So I went there.. and there's a big mall and It's crowded! There's American Eagle, Apple Store etc. I went there to check my ipod if there's anything wrong (and there isn't any). After 2 hours spending time there, I went off back to downtown.. to check some headset and ended up buying one (a Sony.. so nice and clear) and I went back home and relaxed throughout the night.

18 Feb (Today)

I felt tired. 2 Days of walking around town is washed out my energy. I need to relax more and become a homebuddy, that I always been. I decided to having a great lunch. I bought Orange Chicken & BBQ Chicken at a mall and went home. I cooked the rice and the veggies (I made spinach today). Perfect!

So here I am, typing the blog as I recall the memories and thinking what would I do after this.
I'm gonna finish the Transformers movie, do my homework, buying indomies and meats and veggies, go back home, do the rest of the homework and then sleep. I'm so predictable.

Bye guys!
