It's getting hot out here. I feel so happy about it, but ironically I got cold. It's a bad one, every morning I sounds like some kind of drugged up person. Anyway, It's good to have the heat around, I almost forgot how it feels.
Speaking about heat, the swine flu is everywhere in states (when I say everywhere, it means in NY, and some other places). I'm freaked out! there's no cure yet available and it makes me going a little bit insane right now. Just be careful and always be clean, people.
By the way, final exam is around the corner and there's also dresses due on monday and a final paper due on next friday. I just want this to be over and heading back to Indonesia. Before I go back, I have to deal with the moving things and also the electricity stuff, the TV and so on. I just want to fast forward that part, and straight to the day I'd depart from Boston to Jakarta.
Anyway, Spring has sprung! enjoy the day! D

MIXER May '09: Taylor Swift
If this moment were like it was 2000, Miley Cyrus would be the Britney Spears, Jonas Brothers would fill the spot for NSync and Taylor Swift will be the Christina Aguilera (the talented one. Although Demi Lovato is the best Disney singers. I know, I happens to know alot about Disney stars). Since I tend to look talent over fame, I pick Taylor for the cover. I think she's a wonderful songwriter and her song, as sweet as it can be, it's very catchy. So, which ever Jonas who broke up with her, shame on you. D

Reflections
I think I need to do some soul-searching. I know it's kind of hard topic, but I think that's what I need the most. I feel lonely at times, feeling uncertain and kind of trying to please anybody. It's hard because I can't really distinguish which one is real. I feel lost again. I don't know who should I believe now and I think too much of everything and make things thousand more times complicated.
It's a recurring theme happening in life for the last couple of months. I'm seeking help for now, but I don't push my self enough to get it right. I have an inner battle with myself that I wanna be out of this problems, break free - while on the other side, I just want to sunken in. I haven't been in good mood for the last couple of days, I just wish my aunt and cousin's visit will make it better.

Electronica
Another random post on another random day, and I'd like to talk about my current interests. I love electronic music lately and only from Daft Punk, Ladytron and The Faint. I occasionally listen to Goldfrapp but only few of em songs (btw, 'Ooh La La' is gorgeous and I'm goin' to download it now). Actually it's more like synth pop or something like that; I like the synth effect because it feels futuristic and sounds like u could get into another dimension.
Anyway, back to reality. Today I woke up at 3.27 pm, pretty late. I felt terrible, tired and lazy. But only for the first 5 minutes. After I took a bath, I went straight to clean up the apt.! started with the carpet floors, I vacuumed it all, the kitchen floor etc. then washed all the dishes and then, took my comforter and some bed sheets to laundry - and resulted the spill of my detergent inside the elevator. I know, it was clumsy.. but it happened. Then, my bro cooked some prawns while I just heated some terong balado (Love em!). By the way, we went to Shaws and got this ice cream called Ciao Bella, with malted chocolate flavor. It was good!
Despite the heavy rain, I still love this day. I like the fact it's calming, relaxing, typical lazy Saturday. Yesterday in the opposite, was busy. I finished some sketches, went shopping (finally got a wayfarer I've been wanting for a year now!), went to restaurants (Haru & Bhindi Bazaar) and watched movie (Monsters v.s. Aliens.) which is quite funny and entertaining, although lacks of 'X' factor. The bottom line is, I love doing laid back thing but when I wanna do fun things, I'm no half-ass doing it!
Wow, this actually could be the longest random post I've ever done. LoL. O yea, I also wanna put some of my current listening:
Ladytron - "Destroy Everything You Touch"
I like this track out of them. I'm still a beginner about their music and actually I knew them because Christina Aguilera is working with them for her next record. I love the synth effect and the disco aspect of it. It's fantabulous.
The Faint - "The Geeks Were Right"
Goldfrapp - "Ooh La La"
I personally think that 'Keeps Gettin' Better' is a rip-off this song. Very glamourous, with underground feel in it.
Kings Of Leon - "Sex On Fire"
Kleerup feat. Lykke Li - "Until We Bleed"
The goth disco. Love this track. I heard it from my fashion show and fell in love with it. It's in heavy rotation on my playlist.
Michael Jackson - "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough"
It's used for Balmain Fall 2009 show! it's catchy and very disco-esque.
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
Daft Punk - "Technologic"
It was used for my fashion show, on my favorite segment: Non-textile!

My Favorite Things
April Edition. Well, this is the first time tho. These are what I really like for the last couple of weeks, or months. Enjoy
1. Fashion Projects
This is the first time I feel like I have a purpose, a calling. I love the class, the classmates, the assignments, the show and of course ultimately the dresses. There's few snafus here and there.. but still those are my babies.
2. Diet A&W Root Beer
My childhood favorite comes in 0 calories. Perfect guilty pleasure.
3. iPod Touch Apps
I always looking for some new applications. It's like putting outfits for your doll or something, except this is iPod (nevermind) and so far I got Skype, DDR, Style.com, Cooking Mama and Facebook. Which brings us to number...
4. Facebook
Ultimate obsession. It's MAJOR addictive. I can't help it for this one; I constantly checking out updates on Facebook. Everyday! It's kind of ironic actually, now our meeting points always on the internet instead of cafes or whatever. But you know what, sneaking into others' profiles, looking at their photos are always entertaining.
5. Take Outs
I Love Chinese Takeouts, Sushi.. Burritos u name it, I tried em all and I love it. It's fast, it's tasty and it's comforting. One problem: it's not cheap, if you do it every day.
6. Skype
I always love to do video calls, especially with Mom. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that kind of Mama's boy, I did it for my dogs. I'm sorry, I miss my dogs a lot - or too much I think. I always see them thru webcams and I love every minutes of it. Plus.. I can talk to mom.. and share thoughts.
7. Urban Outfitters
Especially the SALEs rack. Tee for $9.99? A cool cardigans slashed from 50 bucks to 29? I'm in.
8. YSL L'Homme
I wear it every day! Sometimes I put it on my hair, especially when I didn't shower.. cause I always late to class.
9. Kathy Griffin's Stand-up Shows
I can't get enough. I always watch her reruns and the videos on YouTube and never get enough. I love her hilarious behaviour, rude jokes and stuff. I love her making fun of celebrities and every time she did it, it worked. I know that she's coming to Boston.. sadly on June 12! At that time, I'd probably already in Jakarta :(
10. YouTube
Yes! The ultimate entertainment package. It has everything from awards show performance to videos of people acting stupid. I love it! and I happens to have some videos over there too (acting stupid of course). My favorite show: Ellen DeGeneres Show.. while eating take outs!

The Fashion Show
It was great. I loved it. I have to say that I'm very pleased although there's some things that I don't really like or proud of.. but overall it was a blast! - and I'd like to say, the first year rocked the show!
I have 3 garments overall: first is the ensemble - blouse and pants. pretty boring actually.. almost bland. But I liked it. Mr. Mason told me to put the blouse on backwards and it looks interesting (I'd like to take some pictures of it tomorrow). I love the pants tho.. I'm so proud of it, too bad it wasn't shown that much.
The second one is the Non-textile and I have the official name for it, "Galactic Origami". Well, it's cheesy cheese lame, but who cares? Anyway, I love the way it turned out. My prof told me to put some black tapes on it and it works very well. I'm pleased! It took me like 3 weeks total to finish the whole thing. Thanx to Emily for helpin' me out. Btw, I'm glad I borrowed the white shoes. It rocked!
The last one is the Geometric dress. I actually inspired by the fabric. It's very tribal.. very earthy kind of motives and it inspired me to make a tribal dress. I also dressed her with a headband - I want to make the hippie kind of look - and I think it works well with the whole look. I actually had thought about this assignment that I wanted this to be red this time and so I did.
Overall I'm so happy with the show and already can't wait for the next year's show. Thanks for coming people! D
