Who doesn't want to smell good? Of course no one would ever want to be smelly or whatever. Me neither and perfume seems the best compliment to complete a look. Yes, I'm obsessed with perfume! (at least for now). For the last couple of months, I bought 2 perfumes (YSL 'L'Homme' and Jean-Paul Gaultier 'Le Male') to add my collections of scents.
There's something about perfume that makes it interesting and, for some reason, prestigious. When it comes to perfume, the label is on top of my head. The designer label makes a perfume prestigious and exclusive. Not so many people can afford thousands of dollars worth of designer stuffs (bags, shoes, clothings, etc.) and designer perfumes are the most affordable among others. So for me, the label is make or break a perfume (in my case, the label can make or break me from buying it).
Overall, the reason I collect perfumes is because I love fashion and I love to collect the bottles .. while the perfume itself is a bonus to the unique bottle. I like the fact that it is a designer products and it smells good too. So far, my favorite perfumes are Bvlgari Aqva and YSL L'Homme. Which one is yours?

Madness
This month is both good and bad and a little ugly. I have (as well as the other students) to work on 2 other garments: pants and a geometric dress. It's kinda bad for me 'cause apparently, my spring break would not be too relaxing as it was last year. The other thing is, the ugly part, is that I have to fix my bloody paper dress. Sigh. I'm so tired on that one. Shorten it up, put black tapes all over it. Stitch up the skirt band (which is ridiculously hard). So much for my spring break, which brings me to the good part. You guessed it, Spring Break!
Anyway, get bored as usual (although I have plenty of assignments to keep me busy) but, I wanna post what's my current listening! Enjoy.
Katy Perry - "Thinking Of You"
A surprise for me, cuz I've never really love her song, but she got me with this one.
Daft Punk - "LV Spring '08 Fashion Show Mix"
Still in love with this one. My major source of inspiration!
Sara Barailles - "Gravity"
Good mellow song, good for showers too!
Girls Aloud - "The Loving Kind"
I know, sissy gay-ish song. But I love the ethereal disco theme. Whatever.
Ray LaMontagne - "You're The Best Thing"
I just love his vibe! Great James Morrison-esque type of track.
Madonna f/ Justin - "4 Minutes"
It's stuck in my head. Can't help it. Good workout song!
Anggun - "Still Reminds Me"
The only Indonesian artist that I respect. It's an old song, oldie but goodie.

Heavy Rotation
Hi! Don't feel like updating the blog, but don't want to abandon it either. So, I came up with my current favorite songs! enjoy
Christina Aguilera
"Falling In Love Again"
U guys can listen to the song in this blog. I love the new direction the song takes! Christina (or shud we say, Christina version 4.0) is going for the electronic, futuristic element for the next record, which scheduled to be released this year! :D. Back to the song, it's actually a remake from an old song that originally sung by Marlene Dietrich and then covered by so many artists, including the great Billie Holiday. This song has this moody minimalistic electronica and.. very James Bond-ish (Aidee, u got it right!).
Kelly Clarkson
"My Life Would Suck Without You"
The original American Idol is back! "Since U Been Gone" was her signature song that brought us Kelly Clarkson, the rock star. Then, she came out last 2007 with moody rock album, which kinda brought her down. But this song, will bring Kelly back to her triumph! This Rock-pop song produced by Dr. Luke & Max Martin (Britney, Katy Perry) is the fresh song to start the '09.
Chris Brown
"With You"
The male version of 'Irreplaceable". Easy pop, guitar driven song that everyone can appreciate. In my case, I was a little late. Ha!
Yelle
"A Cause De Garcons"
French revolution! yep, lately I really like French songs (only Anggun tho). But, this band has caught my attention. This techno-rock song is so fun! even tho I have no idea what the song's about. It's good for dancing, fashion show.. or even shower singing.
Beyonce
"Diva"
This one is really catchy. This heavily influenced by hip-hop song is really good for dance floor! I've been listening to this song since "I Am.. Sasha Fierce" came out. Actually this is my third favorite songs from the album ("Boy" and "Single Ladies" on no. 1 & 2). Actually beside the infectious beats, the video is the one makes this song even catchier. The video contains in-your-face couture styles.. with urban twists. In short.. Diva is here to stay.
There u have it. Have fun! Gong Xi2! :D
ps: I also added link to my Youtube page & checkout the videos!

Keeps Getting Better
I'm not talking about my phone situation tho (although it's kinda going that direction). I'm talking about Christina Aguilera's new single!! LOVES it!!! haha. It's so futuristic! (Christina performed at 2008 VMAs earlier today!). Love the performance! She performed a new rendition of 'Genie In the Bottle' (think Eurythmics mix with Lady Gaga) and the new single, 'Keeps Gettin' Better' (think Kylie Minogue + Lady Gaga, again). Overall, this year's VMA is overwhelming! Christina, Rihanna, Britney's officially comeback too! :D
Awesome night!
While I'm watching VMA reruns, I'm still wondering about tomorrow; about the phone insurance, homeworks, everything. I'm friggin overwhelmed already. And I also have to be in bed, very right now!
See ya'll

What'll Ya Have?
That's a famous catch-phrase from the old burger chain called The Varsity in here, Atlanta, Georgia.
Days after my mom arrival, me and my fam (including my sibs) headed to Atlanta to visit my aunt and her husband. My grandma is here too! and my cousin Russell. I was having the best time right here. We were catching up a whole lot (I haven't seen em all for 7 months.. So.. I was overwhelmed). My uncle, Darren took us to some nice places (Korean restaurant, the Varsity burgers and chilli hot dogs). I was thrilled!
We went to the Georgia Aquarium (which photos are deleted cuz I was f--kin clumsy). The aquarium was huge!! and I love the belugas! We also went to the Six Flags Over Georgia. It was A BLAST. Me and my brother rode those crazy roller coasters: Superman flying coaster, the standing coaster (called Georgia Scorcher) which is my ultimate favorite coaster ever!! and more.
I also tried the authentic Southern comfort foods (ribs, cornbread, etc.) and i've been waiting for that moment to come.. So I was beyond happy! :D And Mom also cooked us Hainam Chicken rice, Babi panggang merah.. tempe orek! Delish! (again! i haven't eat em for 7 months). I was in heaven!
I really wanna go back to Atl someday. Beside my aunt and my cousin are there, I'd like to visit the Six Flags.. and try the Southern Foods again!
See y'all.

Yearbook's Second Anniversary
July 18, 2006 was the most memorable day of my life and arguably my proudest moment. On that day, the 2006 SMU Yearbook was officially out! I was psyched! 'cause after all the late-nite works and the endless meetings, the yearbook finally became a real thing. It was a bittersweet experience.
I remembered the first idea that I brought to the yearbook staff is urban/modern contemporary, and I don't know what the hell was that. What I wanted is just a yearbook with artsy layouts and cover. At first people were like confused and had no idea what I want. It was tough.
Then.. I also wanted a conceptualized photoshoots (like CSI, Musical genres, Oldies, Executives and etc), a young and hip layouts with a touch of artsy and shits (LOL). It was a team work so, a lot of different artistic visions and stuff. But since this was my first time ever involved in such an important project (and since the previous yearbook covers were crappy), I wanted to do the cover. And I did. I envisioned this light, funky and hip cover. With lotsa color (it was like rainbow threw up on the cover) and roses and wings.. and at first I thought (the cover) was kinda gay. But I went with it anyway. (thanks to Mirna and my bro for helpin me out).
Talking 'bout the cover. The cover sorta has several meanings, for example: the wings around 'Jubilee' symbolized our departure to the future and it translated to 'Reaching for the Future' (I forgot who came out with this theme). Also, if you notice, there's 12 stars around the crown, which means we have finished 12 years of education and moving to a new level of education: college and of course the real world. There also roses symbolized that we're bloomed to a new seeds of hope. Sadly, I just made that up (and my sister's friend bought it). I'm telling the truth now: there's no real meanings on the cover.. I just loved the layout. LOL.
Today, 2 years later, I'm still proud of this yearbook. I poured my heart and soul into it. I spent months working on this and worked my ass off. Our team worked their asses off. It was all Blood, Sweat and Tears. And it was all worth the pain.
I believe, that our yearbook is set the bar for senior high school yearbook standard (in Jubilee school to say the least). I even heard that O Level kinda copied the style of our cover for their cover. Well, I haven't seen it tho. Also, last year graduate (2007) used the same direction for their layout. I think it was a compliment to us yearbook staff, that people trying to copy the artwork. That means us rock!
Since I saw the first SMP yearbook (2003), I vowed myself to design my senior class yearbook. I did and I'm glad that I joined the team. Now I can die happy. (D)
ps: hope we can recreate this photo one more time. LOLs

Dumb Blond
Ha! Now I'm in Jersey.. If I'm in a celebrity world, I'm so Madonna right now (always travel around).
But I came here with a mission: to help Rani moved out to her new apartment. The apartment is clean and nice! ha. I remembered when we moved the friggin heavy bed. It was HELLish. Ha.
Anyway.. I was bored yesterday..and decided to get a makeover! hair makeover that is. I decided to tried (get ready) blond! Damnit! what a biggest mistake ever! haha. I felt so cinko right now (yes, still blond).. but i have to keep this look until Rani come home and see it. After that, I'll dye my hair to another color (Rani picked an auburn color. Let see tho).
Ha! so stupid.
See ya guys 'round

Stranded In Seattle
My week plus-long holiday in Seattle was a blast. I've experience things that I never done before. It's fun!
My purpose to come visit Seattle is my friend, Nathalia. So excited when I first arrived at the airport. So surreal. Me and Nath went crazy! haha.. we took silly pictures.. crazy jokes and stuff. FUN! By the way...
Seattle is pretty. A nice neat pretty city. Friendly people too. As far as I know, Seattle has quite nice neighborhood. Comparing to my place in Boston, Seattle is like a luxury good (Well, Nath and her friends made that impression to me tho). It's good to see Nath there and meet some of here friends, who are funny and friendly too. They took me to great places to eat (Saburo's in Portland, OR, + some other great Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese restaurants). I pig myself out. O yea, I also experienced drunk for the first time in my life. I drink occasionally at home.. but I can't stand the straight shots (It was disgusting). But overall, Seattle was a very fun experience.. I'm glad I booked a ticket to SEATTLE. I really will come back there.
The word Stranded on the title came literal on June 20 at 11.20PM. I Missed a flight! And I was secured a seat for the next flight at 9.00 AM via New York and arrival in Boston at 8.33 PM. I stayed awake for 9 hrs straight. It was a hell.. but I took it as part of my interesting journey. It's definitely an experience. It's been a pleasure.

Guilty Pleasure
Last Saturday, I went to Six Flags New England. So awesome! It cost $15 (bought it from school) and it was 2-hour ride from Boston. It was sooo cool, I rode the fiercest roller coasters ever! There was The Superman Ride (f*%$ing crazy), Batman (my favorite so far!), Mind Eraser (hanging coaster) and some crappy rides. But overall, it was out of body experience almost literally, cause in some rides, I felt like I almost out of the cart. Ha
By the way, I really enjoy Madonna's half new record from Hard Candy. She released "4 Minutes" which was so 2008 (means I loves it) and I also enjoy "Miles Away". The rest of the album pretty much the same to me. O yeah, It's kinda leak songs so I downloaded it. It's my guilty pleasure.
I have a lot guilty pleasures.. such as, buying groceries, reality shows.. eating too much.. networking sites (facebook, friendster), gossip blogs and clothes. Yes. pretty much everything i like is guilty pleasure-ing. Whatever.
Gosh, I wanna visit Indonesia.. really, it's like crazy now.. I miss my dogs so much.. t.t
Btw, STARBUCKS changed their logo!
Joking (hopefully)
See ya guys in bit

What A Day!
Today is interesting; Although it could be ambiguous.
I went to classes, back home, back to school again, back home, dropped my bag, went off to the market.. bought rices, sushi and magazines (BLENDER & RollingStone, with Britney on the cover). Then, went home, ate sushi and slept at 5.30 PM until 11 PM. Right now it's 3.58 AM.
I have to make a confession. Yea, yesterday I didn't sleep at all. I slept at 6 AM and woke up at 8.30 AM, because I have to make it into the class (I skipped the class 3 times). So there.. I'm pretty much a nightwalker these days, since Mom went back to Jkt. I dunno maybe I'm still overwhelmed.. but I really need (and have to) put it together. This time, there's no room for error.
Ok.. So I went to the morning class for an hour then went to the library to hang out for a while with my friends. What's interesting here is I'm the only Indonesian here in Fisher College, period. So, I gotta hang out with Japanese, Chinese (mostly) and Korean friends. I also made friends with American as well. So at one point it's beneficial (for my English) sometime, it's a torture ('cause I have no people to speak Indonesian to). Then, went to Business class (Macro) and Math class (Stats) respectively. I don't know why today's classes seems so much fun. I laughed all the time. Today's pretty nice but also tiring.
O ya, today was snowing too! The wind, the snow.. today was super cold.
Ok then, I think I have to go now.. I'm sleepy now (finally). I wanna share some pictures than I've had taken for the last 2 weeks, not now; because there's something wrong with the inet. I hope u can enjoy the view and it's part of sharing my experience here with all of u. Have a nice day :D

Holiday Spirits!
Today's been pretty lame. Since my parents were out for 2 days (but they're back already), I wasn't permitted to go out at any reason.. except for going to nearby places. So me and my bro decided to made some meals.. for the whole day. The sidedishes in particular. But, to make the story kinda 'nice', I tell u about My day!
Saturday, 22 December '07 (happy mother's day!)
I started off the day woke up at 7.. to pee. Because the weather still cold and cloudy, I crawled back to bed and slept for another hours (5 to be exact). Then I ate noodles for lunch (courtesy my favorite cooking God, grandma!) with charsiu (barbequed red pork). After that.. I played Wii for a while, until I got bored and decided to get the holiday spirit on: make some foods! my bro made some delicious crepes with caramelized brown sugar and cinammon apple fillings, SO great, while I made some cookies. Thanks to my bestie, Betty Crocker.
For dinner, My bro made some fried cassave with brie cheese and smoked beef fillings. Another yummy snacks. We ate charsiu (again!) with ikan bilis tumis cabe (sooo good) with vegies and brown rice.
Later that night, after the whole day of eating, we still want more (especially me). So, before we watched a Rush Hour movie (the third), we decided to made some meals. I made sandwiches with bacon, smoked beef and cheese with mustard & ketchup, while he made egg nog; a traditional American holiday drink made off egg white, egg yolk, cream, lots of sugar and bourbon (in my case, Cognac!).
Actually, today was not that bad. I just missed my friends (you know who you are!) and I missed the whole concept of Holiday joy and spirit. But my goal is to make everyone's happy this Christmas, since it's Jokker, Rockey and Russel's first Xmas.
Btw, I wanna share some Holiday tracks for you to hear (or download): Sarah McLachlan - "The First Noel", Josh Groban - "The First Noel", Michael Buble - "I'll Be Home For Christmas", Christina Aguilera - "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
Okie Dokie, Let the joy begins!
See U
